Cowboy Romance Series

Since I’m new to the blogging world, I decided to do a series of blogs designed to garner interest in my writing, and to give the fans an idea of what’s coming.

Welcome to the first #showitsunday of 2022!

This is the first weekend of the Stampede, and although I might not be going down to the rodeo grounds, I will most definitely be watching some of the rodeo on television. I just love the 8 seconds of excitement during the bull riding.

Up close and personal.

It has me thinking about all those awesome Cowboy Romances out there and I really want to publish some in the future. In fact, just a month or so ago, I was thinking of a standalone novel idea. Sometimes I like to visualize the story, so I went ahead and created the cover for the book. When I was finished, I showed it to a couple friends, who really liked it and the idea of the book.

Only there was one major problem: Once I saw how the title of the novel looked, my brain started to list off some other book titles. And of course, they were titles that would fit perfectly in a series.

So much for writing a standalone!

A five book series was brought to life, leaving me to try and figure out another idea. Not that any of you will complain about more books. Who doesn’t love more books? I know I do. Maybe that’s the problem? I think too much like a reader than the person who actually has to write the books.

So, in addition to creating the cover and choosing all the book titles, I’ve already started jotting down scene ideas and main plots of the five novels. The first cover reveal will be done in my newsletter, no later than early 2023. If I decide to make it my #NaNoWriMo novel for 2022 and start writing it this year, you will probably get to see it earlier.

The series will be five standalone contemporary romance novels within an interconnected world. With series like these, characters might have appearances in other novels, so it is best read in order. However, if you choose to only read one book, it will be a complete story with a guaranteed HEA (happily ever after) ending.

Happy Reading!
